Elizabeth Scott

Elizabeth ScottElizabeth is Head of Ornamental Crops at NIAB (National Institute of Agricultural Botany) in Cambridge where she is responsible for testing new varieties of Ornamentals for the possible award of Plant Breeders' Rights. NIAB tests a very wide range of species but specialises in Chrysanthemum, Dahlia, herbaceous perennials, shrubs, and container plants such as Diascia and Nemesia. The work is carried out on behalf of the Plant Variety Rights Office of the European Community (CPVO), the UK Plant Variety Rights Office (PVRO), and equivalent national offices in other UPOV member states worldwide. She represents the UK at the UPOV Technical Working Party for Ornamentals.
