Symposia

Information is provided here regarding international symposia on the taxonomy of cultivated plants. The third symposium was held in 1998 and organised by HORTAX, while the fourth symposium in 2002 and fifth symposium in 2007 were both co-sponsored by HORTAX.
 

Third International Symposium on the Taxonomy of Cultivated Plants

The Third International Symposium on the Taxonomy of Cultivated Plants was held at the Pollock Halls, Edinburgh, 20-26 July l998 and was organised by HORTAX with generous sponsorship from the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew and the Royal Horticultural Society. The symposium was attended by 168 participants from 30 countries.

Fourth International Symposium on the Taxonomy of Cultivated Plants

HORTAX was one of the principal sponsors of the Fourth International Symposium on the Taxonomy of Cultivated Plants, which was held within the XXVIth International Horticultural Congress, Toronto, Canada, 11-17 August 2002.
 

Fifth International Symposium on the Taxonomy of Cultivated Plants

This symposium was held in Wageningen, The Netherlands, 15-19 October 2007 and organised jointly by the Biosystematics Group/Botanical Gardens of Wageningen University and HORTAX.
